Here are the feng shui bedroom colors associated with each element: Earth colorsIn feng shui theory, the earth represents stability in your life. It helps you to stay rooted and grounded in your relationships. The colors associated with the earth element are beiges and light shades of yellow. Light colors like these on walls will lighten up a space and nurture and inner feeling of security. As if anything is possible! Including finding your soulmate. Fire colorsWhat’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think of this element? Heated passion? You got it. As you might imagine, the feng shui bedroom colors associated with the fire element are red, orange, bright yellow, hot pink and purple. All of these colors will stimulate movement and passion, make your heart race and feed your energetic attitude... not to mention your sexy side! However I'm a big fan of warm grey, and with white they accent other pieces well plus have such a sharp, clean crisp feeling to them. I also add metal in picture frames and white metal accents. Water colorsWater is an element that represents abundance, refreshment and healing. When we bathe, we feel cleansed and nourished, with our troubles washed away. No surprise, the colors of blue and black in your home energetically promotes purity. I've always loved this combination and use it liberally. Blue is also my soul color... What's your favorite color?When I was growing up, I really liked earthy colours, like browns and monochromatic colors. Then as I got older, for years, my favorite color (if I had to pick one!) was blue. Most recently, as silver blue because if reminded me of the lake I grew up on which filled me with peace and calm. I began decorating in these colors, bringing silver in as an accent. One of my favorite pieces of art is an etching I bought before I ever knew what feng shui was. Created in black, blues and silver, the etching is by Jurgen Gorg and it's called ‘Versucheng’ or ‘Inspiration’. It's in my bedroom today, with a silver frame. Years ago, I saved for months to buy it. I was drawn to it very strongly and the image — which is incredibly sensuous — also became the inspiration for my novel Moondance.
